play by: Dianna Agron
features: Having inherited elements from bother of her parents, Tegan has some of the trademark Malfoy features, including pale skin, her mother’s angular facial structure and her father’s cold, grey eyes. She has the traditional Malfoy blonde hair, which is long and usually worn down. Her eyes are almond, like her mother’s, but her expression, at her young age, doesn’t give them the same kind of hardness, just a kind of inquisitiveness.
build: Tegan stands at 5”4, tall for her age, with the same kind of build as her mother. She is a little more angular and has only just begun filling out into her curves, since she had been a rather skinny girl until that point. As a Malfoy, she holds herself in a way that makes her appear a little more intimidating but is still learning how to balance haughtiness with femininity.
distinctions: None, save for ear piercings and a small scar on her hip from a burn when she tried to use magic before she knew what she was doing.
style: Much like her mother, Tegan values highly the concept of leading the way in terms of fashion and beauty. She has been heavily influenced by her female relatives and considers it to be the most important part of her life, possibly more important than friendship. At her young age, she is still learning and so has a long way to go in terms of perfecting the elegance her mother carries so well, but in relation to her peers she dresses in only the best. She likes to be a trend setter, amongst the Slytherins at least, and so attempts to combine the elements of her parents’ favoured old fashioned style with a more modern one, so that she can fit in at Hogwarts. She is never without make up and will spend hours trying to perfect it, even if it means being late for class.

adores:
- Material goods- clothes, make up, jewellery, shoes. She adores shopping and cannot get enough of having ‘things.’
- Her family- she adores her father, gets along well with her brother and, even though she spars a lot with her, loves her mother just as much. She’s not so sure about Auntie Bellatrix but she thinks they get on just fine!
- Boys- Tegan has just begun looking at boys in a completely different light. Until now, she had seen them as primitive. They were ugly, they smelt bad and the best they could be was friends. The thought of kissing one repulsed her. Now she has begun to see that they can actually be quite attractive and it wouldn’t be so bad for one of them to put his lips against hers.
- Spending time with her friends- Tegan is not the type of girl to enjoy time alone. She will put up with quiet, individual time but she much prefers socialising with her peers, though only the ones she deems worthy of her time (which rather limits her choice of friends!)
- Her best friend- despite the hordes of female friends she associates with, Tegan’s best friend is, undoubtedly, her childhood sweetheart, Stephen Cornfoot. Since their parents have been almost inseparable since school, Tegan and Stephen have been joined at the hip, virtually, since birth. They have enjoyed a long and happy friendship, despite little ups and downs, and continue to do so. Tegan is more than happy to tell Stephen anything and has done so without thinking of the consequences a few too many times.
abhors:
- Muggles, muggleborns and blood traitors- like her parents, Tegan feels that these people are beneath her. She doesn’t think they are worthy of magic and is more than happy for them to ‘not exist’ any more. She has been heavily influenced by her parents in this respect but doesn’t do much about it on her own terms, since she’s content to let other people do the dirty work. The most she’ll do is start a verbal fight in school.
- School- like many teenagers, Tegan hates school. She detests work and is lazy; she likes people to do things for her and so doesn’t try at her homework, even if she knows she can do it. She hates getting up to go to lessons and only does any of the work because she wants to make her parents proud of her, and fear of her parents’ anger is the only thing that overcomes her laziness.
- Not getting her own way- she has been spoilt all her life and so Tegan is adamant that she will always get what she wants. She hates it when this doesn’t happen.
- Bad hair days- we all get them, some of us hate them more than others. Tegan is one of these people. If she has a bad hair day, she’ll make sure it lives up to its name. Don’t expect good things from her during these 24 hours.
- Family Reunions- although she pretends to be, on the surface, an obedient daughter, Tegan dislikes boring family gatherings. She doesn’t like old people because she thinks that they’re ugly and wrinkly and that they fuss about too much. She hates that she has to spend her day away from her friends with family, most of whom don’t even speak to her.
- Being told off- even though she tries to be a good daughter, Tegan does push her parents to the limit. She knows she’s doing it when it happens and she’ll make sure that it only happens rarely, but she doesn’t like the outcome when she does put a toe over the line.
weakness:
- Her appearance- Tegan is very sensitive about her appearance and anyone who criticises her, however slightly, will touch very many nerves. She will do anything to look pretty and be seen to be perfect, no matter how far she has to go.
- Her family and friends- for her parents, Draco and closest friends, Tegan will cross oceans. She hopes that she would never have to do anything to that extent, but secretly she’s very willing to do the best she can for them.
- Laziness and passivity/reliant/dependent- Tegan is lazy in the sense that she likes other people to do her work for her. She is very reliant and dependent on her parents, especially her father, and looks to other people, such as her brother or her friends, to fight her battles for her. This can be from the mundane, such as getting people to do her homework, to actual duels.
- Coldness- Like her mother, Tegan is a cold hearted and cruel girl. She is spiteful, selfish and will make snide comments just for the fun of seeing someone suffer. She will do this to most people and very few are exempt from her wrath. To most people, this is a deplorable trait. To her parents, as long as she does it to the right people, it makes them proud. She will rarely open up to people and is more than happy to display her mask, which shows her to be shallow, cold and unkind.
strength:
- Quick witted- Tegan is very quick witted and easily retorts with witty quips. This can get her into trouble at times and so she does so rarely and sparingly, but she is proud of her humour.
- Charm- Tegan is a very charming girl. She has learnt how to use her gender and her prettiness to her advantage. She is able to wrap men, including her father, around her little finger, by feigning sweetness, or fluttering her eyelashes. Even when she is in the presence of people she hates, she will try her best to be as charming as she can, if only to make herself seem better than they are.
- Intelligence- Even though she doesn’t use her brain very often, Tegan is perceptive and picks up a lot more than people realise. She is knowledgeable about various magical areas since she has been brought up in a home obsessed with magical superiority. It is rare that she will show this to people, since she personally considers it to be a disadvantage (after all, girls are supposed to be seen and not heard) but many would consider it a virtue.
- Romantic/Dreamer- Tegan is a romantic. She adores the notion of a handsome prince sweeping her off her feet and is very open to the concept of love. Although she cannot comprehend love with a person who is inferior to her, she is very willing to fall in love with another pureblood. As long as he’s handsome.
boggart:
- Growing old or ugly
- Not finding love
- Losing all her friends and family
amortentia:
- Shortbread
- Flowers- virtually all of them!
- Stephen’s house
- Fire
mirror of erised: To find her true love
veritaserum: She is a romantic and wants to find a special someone; she actually quite likes those old fashioned biscuits her grandparents make her eat
patronus: Dove- attending Hogwarts to finally be with her brother and Stephen
dementor: When the Dark Lord rose again and her father returned to his side, since she feared for his safety
overview: Tegan is very much her parents’ daughter. She is judgemental, cold, arrogant and haughty. She values pure blood, status and wealth over most other traits and considers appearance to be one of the most valuable aspects of life. In her eyes, the Dark Lord is quite right to be rid of all muggles, mudbloods and traitors and she feels no remorse that some of the people she knows would fall under that category, since she doesn’t become friendly with people who aren’t worthy. Saying this, since she is highly dependent on others, she does not do anything to remedy the situation herself; she will never become a Death Eater because she feels that it is not a woman’s place to do that kind of work and she would hate the notion of getting her hands dirty. She is content to sit at home, on the sidelines, and give support, much like her mother. She idolises her parents and, though she spars with Narcissa, hopes to grow up to be like her mother, who she considers to be a role model for pureblood women. She hopes to find someone as powerful as her father one day and make her parents proud of her. Because of this, she spends most of her time encouraging her newfound passions for beauty, fashion and boys.
Despite her outwardly negative mask, Tegan does have some redeeming qualities. Though those she considers close friends are few, she is kind to them for most of the time and tries her best to make them like her even more. She likes to feel wanted and loved by people and enjoys being the centre of attention. She is able to use her wit and charm to her advantage and manipulate people although, at her young age, she is also very impressionable herself. Where her family are concerned, she is incredibly obedient. She does not openly defy her parents, especially her father, and prefers to use her mother’s method of subtle hints to work her way around people instead of going straight in for the kill.

overview:
After numerous attempts at having a baby, Narcissa Malfoy finally gave birth to a baby boy, named Draco. Lucius and Narcissa were doting parents and were happy to have another, a year later. Although they hoped for a boy, they were happy with the outcome: a pretty little girl who they named Tegan after an ancient ancestor. Since they already had a boy, the couple no longer desired any more children, especially now that they had one of each- a boy to continue the Malfoy line, and a girl to marry into another pureblood family. Narcissa, especially, doted on both of her children, though would always have a separate place in her heart for Draco, who was her first born and her only son. It was Lucius who showed more attention to Tegan, perhaps because it was more acceptable for a man to show open affection for a daughter rather than a son. As such, Tegan grew up knowing her place in the Malfoy’s way of the world.
Just before her birth, the Dark Lord had been defeated by Harry Potter, a toddler of little consequence but who had now become a potential threat to the Death Eaters, many of whom disbanded and claimed that they had been under an enchantment. Lucius Malfoy was one of these and so Tegan never knew her father’s life as an active Death Eater, only knowing that he had supported the Dark Lord and that they should continue to do his work, but through more subtle means. She always knew that muggles, muggleborns and blood traitors were the enemy and learnt from an early age that they were unworthy of the magic that families like hers possessed.
For many years, Tegan was homeschooled alongside her brother, Draco. She had a happy childhood, managing to get her own way at the same time as learning to be an obedient daughter and a good girl. She learnt from her mother how to be feminine and about family life, and learned some basic elements of magic from her father, who thought it best that the children show off their skill as much as they could. Throughout most of her life, her aim has been to make her parents proud of her, although she does not feel that she has to do this to the same extent as Draco and has often felt a little sympathy for her brother that he has to do a lot more to please Lucius.
During her childhood, Tegan’s closest friend was Stephen Cornfoot, a pureblood boy who was born just under a year before she was. He was Draco’s age but took more of a shining to Tegan than he did to her brother, since they seemed to get along better. Her parents and his had been friends from school and the Cornfoots lived in Scotland, but since their fathers were ex-Death Eaters, Stephen and Tegan saw a lot of each other. She was incredibly distressed when he attended Hogwarts in the same year as Draco since she felt jealous that she wasn’t going too.
A year later, however, she received her letter and joined her brother and friend on the Hogwarts Express, was sorted into Slytherin (although Stephen was a Ravenclaw) and began her journey throughout school. She was quickly disillusioned with the school, however, since it was full of the people she hated- muggles, mudbloods, traitors. She hated the Gryffindors, as she was expected to do, and learned of the old school rivalry between the houses. Although she hated sports, she supported Slytherin in every match and was proud of her brother when he became the Slytherin seeker, even though she knew that it was due to her father’s influence. Still, she did not care and was confident in the Slytherins’ ability. Most of all, she hated Harry Potter. She was angry that he seemed to be such a thorn in her family’s side but never confronted him. She left that to Draco.
At Hogwarts, Tegan hated most of her lessons. Like all Slytherins, her best was Potions, where Professor Snape was attentive and lenient with his house. As such, she barely did any work, which made her even more irritable in the other lessons. She detested Muggle Studies, Divination and History of Magic. She also found Defence Against the Dark Arts a boring subject since she hated all of the teachers that she has had so far. The most thought she puts into work is in Charms, because it is a practical class which she quite enjoys. However, she has never put in as much work as she could do because she feels that she doesn’t need to.
In her third year, the school played host to the Triwizard Tournament. Tegan assumed that this would be the only highlight of her year but, eventually, time showed otherwise. The Dark Lord returned and summoned his Death Eaters back to him. This meant that her family didn’t have to hide their loyalties anymore, and, even though she was initially worried for her father, she was quickly won over by the fact that Potter died during the Tournament and the Dark Lord began his new regime. She was glad that everyone she thought inferior was sent away from Hogwarts and is now on the run. Back at home, she was also proud of Draco when he received his mark and has no idea of his doubts. She assumes that her family are, as of yet, untouchable and is ignorant of the stirrings of rebellion that have emerged anywhere save for Hogwarts, although she assumes that any defiance inside of Hogwarts is weak and will be crushed easily. Since she and Stephen are both pureblood, she is still able to be with her best friend in the school and her life has been relatively unchanged in that respect.

sample:As Narcissa on another forum:
Having spent almost 3 months in relative normality and calm, Narcissa realised that soon she would have to consider giving in to her husband's demands that she refrain from doing anything strenuous. She did think Lucius was being a little too dramatic about it, and overprotective, but she decided she'd rather be safe than sorry. She had already secured for herself the potential opportunity to help her husband at the Ministry, attempting to rectify the horrendous situation that was Hogwarts School. As much as she admired Snape, she didn't think that he was acting fast enough, nor that he was being anywhere near as pro-active in helping sort the place out as he could be.
Other than this, however, she would most likely have to confine herself to the Manor for the majority of her time. Of course, it wouldn't be like a prison, but she knew that she would be spending a sizeable portion of her pregnancy there and it would be best to get herself something to do whilst she could. She had already attempted knitting and discarded numerous items of clothing, not enjoying the experience at all. That was out. She had set herself the task of finding initial ideas for the nursery, but she needed Lucius if she was going to do anything properly, so that, too, was out.
What else was there left to do? She'd already read many of the books in the Manor, and certainly all the ones that interested her. Narcissa liked reading, but she didn't like reading the same book more than once, not unless it was an absolute favourite. It was for this reason that she caved in to her thirst for more reading material and set her course for Diagon Alley, Flourish and Blotts in particular. Shopping was one of her favourite hobbies, and so would be the perfect distraction, and if she could buy some new books she could kill two birds with one stone.
Setting foot in the store, she felt a little unusual. Usually she headed for the shops that sold clothing, or something of that sort- she wasn't really the academic type, despite her intelligence. She just never really felt drawn to the bookshop. But now she felt quite content to be in here, browsing tomes based on subjects that interested her, or themes that she enjoyed. She quickly hurried past the dark creatures section, not wanting to see any images of werewolves. Instead, she made her way towards another shelf and began browsing, the items she had already decided to buy clutched to her chest. She reached for a book on a shelf above her but it slipped and ended up falling in front of the person browsing next to her.
