overview: Galina is a complicated person on many levels. On one hand she is quiet and docile, but on the other she is assertive, controlling and quite fiery. She is a perfectionist in everything she does, feeling the need to prove herself as more than just a half vampire that she is. She is controlling to a fault, always taking the lead in group projects of any sort and controlling the situation to achieve perfection. She's inflexible in her decisions, not able to work with others well in reaching a decision. She likes to be in control as she is afraid of being out of control, thus things getting chaotic. Though generally quiet, she is not shy in the least nor is she a submissive person in any way. She's aggressive in getting her way and won't back down, though she manages to do it subtly. She's a book worm, loving to read any and all types of novels, and is rarely seen without a book to her nose or tucked under her arm. She is extremely goal-oriented, and when she sets her mind to something she achieves it to the best of her ability, forgoing most everything else to achieve it. She is unmoving in her beliefs and loyalties, and increasingly stubborn.
On the other side, she is empathetic, able to read people easily through her observations. She is reserved, preferring to be by herself rather than others. She avoids people unless strictly necessary, finding most of them to be unworthy of her time. She can be very critical and judgmental, but when you befriend her she is the most loyal and caring friend you could ask for. She is artistic and able to think with both her left and right brain equally. This makes for a startling combination of spontaneity and order. She can come off as rather cold and unfeeling, but this is not true. She feels things in excess, and she uses a cold demeanor to hide that fact. She can tend to be a slew of contradictions in one person. In general, she doesn't like people, but she has a good relation and understanding of them. She is mostly seen as a cold, uptight, but intelligent young woman. While it is true that she is generally uptight, she seems to transform into a different person when with someone she considers a friend. She is shrewd and inflexible, not willing to help if she doesn't get anything out of it. She prefers to push emotions to the side and think logically. She craves a structured environment at all times, adding to her perceived uptight reputation. Overall, she's a very old soul.

overview: Born in Russia to Lilyana Dragova and Vadim Dragov, she was raised in England from age four up in a comfortable, high class society. She was raised wealthy and around many people of power, despite her father being a vampire. It was always a secret that he was such, and because of that he was able to secure a high position of power within the Ministry. Her father was also a supporter of the Dark Lord, a loyalty that was not necessarily passed down to Galina, who is entirely indifferent on the matter.
At age eleven she started school at Hogwarts, and was sorted into Ravenclaw before the hat even really touched her head. She was quite pleased with the arrangement, as she saw Ravenclaw to be the best of all the houses, Slytherin perhaps being its only real equal. In school she excelled in her classes, forgoing a social life to succeed in her academic one. Things were going well for her until halfway through the year when a student found her in the forest drinking blood from a rabbit. It was then that she was outed as a half-vampire and treated unkindly through the year. She put up with the mistreatment, mostly ignoring it and carrying on with her business. This revelation however cost her father his job when they found – after digging in Galina’s hereditary tree – that he too was a vampire. The family maintained their wealth however, having come from money and being very frugal with their income.
During her second year the mistreatment wore down, but she was still seen as a freak and treated differently than most. It was in this year that things started happening in the school, students being petrified and rumors of the heir of Slytherin began circulating. Galina became one of those petrified students, and upon being returned to normal she was mostly displeased with having missed so much school. Her being petrified helped to make her become more welcome among the student body for some reason, but she didn’t care too much for their acceptance.
Her third year was not nearly as eventful as her second, and while Harry Potter had become an even more popular name since the second year, she didn’t care much for any type of rumors of him. She had met the boy a few times and saw nothing of great significance with him, and wrote him off as nothing worth bothering over. She had Defense Against the Dark Arts with him in which they had a werewolf teacher – something she instantly sniffed out and loathed.
It was during her fourth year that Harry Potter died and the Dark Lord returned, giving her father her position at the Ministry back for being such a loyal follower. It was that year that she found out her father had aided the Dark Lord in his attempts to murder Harry Potter. It was something that shocked Galina greatly, but as things had passed and she could not change them, she didn’t dwell overlong on them. Her father’s rank as a Death Eater has brought her much more popularity in the year since the Dark Lord took over Hogwarts, something she cares little for. She remains neutral in the war though she bears the Dark Mark.
