Neville Frank Longbottom sighed as he flipped the pages of a book. He had went home for Christmas holidays. Neville continued flipping through the pages of his book trying to figure out what he should do that day. It was a cold winter day and he didn't want to stay inside all day long. He needed something to do. Closing his book he layed it on the bed then quickly got dressed. He was in his pjs so he put on blue jean pants, a long-sleeve button up shirt, a sweater vest. He fixed his hair then quickly put on his socks and shoes. He ran a hand through his hair as he sat on the bed thinking for just a moment. Maybe he could go into town walk around and then walk through the woods. He liked walking through the woods it gave him time to clear his head and think. Right now he needed a clear head. He needed to do things the smart way and not just run on emotions like he had done. He needed a better plan and he needed help. Sighing he ran a hand through his hair again and got up. He quickly left his room closing the door behind him. He grabbed his coat in the living room and quickly put it and his scarf on. He found a toboggan and put it on.
When he was ready he wrote a note for his gram saying where he was going and left the house. He stuffed his hands into his pockets of his coat. He walked through the snow thinking about everything that had happened. He missed Harry; Harry had been a good friend to him. Harry, Ron, and Hermione had taught him to stand up for himself and to not let other people push him around. He ran a hand through his hair again and then stuffed that hand back into his coat. He walked through town when he got there looking at everything. Snow was falling. He took a moment to stop and look up at the sky. Sometimes it looked like things were okay but he knew it wasn't. He sighed as he started walking again. He continued walking through town. He stopped and looked through the window of a shop. He watched as five little kids laughed talking amongst themselves like their wasn't a care in the world. Sometimes he wish things could go back to that. He had to believe that it would. He smiled for a minute then started walking again. He got to the edge of town and stood there for a moment. He look back at the town.
After a moment he turned back around and walked to the forest. He walked through the forest with his hands still in his pockets. He thought that this forest was beautiful with all the snow and everything. He hated being around Hogwarts right now but he couldn't leave. He had to stay. The wind blew through his hair and snow kept falling. He closed his eyes for a moment and stood in place. He loved the snow. He didn't like the cold but he always loved playing in the snow. It was something that he had loved since he was a young child. He turned and looked around when he heard the snap of a twig. Who is there he said a little scared.
