Things weren't going as well as the young hufflepuff had hoped. The blond haired sixteen year old was already behind on her homework. She had to finish it before she went to bed. Megan Leann Jones sighed as she hurried through the castle halls. She wanted some place really quiet. Maybe the library. She held her bag close to her. She had been studying outside at first. Some slytherin boys decided to use her as a verbal pick on bag. In other words they tormented the young girl with various name calling and remarks, or comments about her family Yes her family, though she was a halfblood her mother was still a muggle. She was allowed to come to Hogwarts this year only because her father was a wizard. Things were hard enough without the whole school gossiping about her family. There were only a few people she could talk to about all of this. A few people who understood what she was going through, though they all talked in secret. If they didn't then someone might not be here the next day. Just the thought tore her apart on the inside. She tried holding in all of her emotions. She felt like she wanted to tear something apart sometimes, and other times she felt like just laying on the floor, curled in a ball, cry for a long time, and just quit. She knew she shouldn't think like that. She had to be strong like her mother and father.
Megan knew she wasn't strong though. She had never been strong before. She was tired of keeping up apperances but she knew she had to continue. She hated feeling like this. She just hated it. She wanted to go back to her family and just stay with them and be safe. Here she was constantly looking over her shoulder. She wanted to know everything was okay but it wasn't. Not really. Sometimes to take her mind off recent events she would curl up in front of a roaring fire on a couch or comfy chair and read a book. Not today though, because she had to study. Megan was constantly scared and frightened as you could never know what would happen two minutes from now. One minute she could be studying and the next she could be gone just like that. This was why young Megan headed to the library after fleeing from those slytherin boys. Why they always had to be such jerks she didn't know. She thought she had lost them. She was almost to the library when two stepped in front of her and the other two were behind her. Megan didn't like this. They had this look in their eyes that sent chills throughout her whole body. She frowned as she watched them step closer to her, taunting her. Like a lion playing with it's food before it pounced. She knew that she shouldn't be scared of them, but she was. Megan didn't like the violence. She was more of a handle problems with words kind of person. She tried to not let her temper get the best of her. That was usually pretty easy, since she didn't like conflict of any kind. That wasn't going to stop those guys though. Megan waited, watching them. Maybe she could out smart them. It wouldn't be a first but she knew she couldn't as soon as she thought it. There were four of them and one of her. There was no way she was getting out of there without getting hurt.
After this little game of who could hit Megan the most the young blond had bruises all over her. This was typical as Megan never stood up for herself. People told her she should but Megan could never really bring herself to do it. When they had left she sat there for a while gathering her things as they had dumped everything out of her bag. She stood up and started walking into the library. She found a nice spot where it would be a little hard for someone to walk in and see her. She sat down and got her stuff out. Her quill scractched against the parchment. She was working on a potions essay. She had that class first thing in the morning after breakfast. She wanted to actually enjoy her breakfast instead of hurrying through her homework. She sat there and wrote. If need be she could get a book from here to help. She wasn't planning on leaving till all of her homework was done. That was fine by her though as she didn't want to see those Slytherin boys for a while.
