HAIR: Bella has dark brown, nearly black hair when not under the influence of hair products. It is naturally curly though she does occasionally make an effort to tame it, though only on special occasions. Since Azkaban, it has lost it's vitality and shine though it is slowly recovering and returning to some semblance of its former 'glory'.
EYES: Her eyes are a very dark shade of brown though they can look almost black when she is in a place lacking in light. They are heavy lidded - a family trait - which only exaggerates her arrogance.
BODY AND HEIGHT: Bellatrix is very skinny as she has a speedy metabolism though this is also due to her spell in Azkaban. She's also rather short, standing at full height at roughly 5'3" though what she lacks in stature, she makes up for in personality.
DISTINCT MARKINGS: There is of course, the Dark Mark on her left forearm which she is extremely proud of as well as an Azkaban tattoo on her neck bearing her number - 93. There are also a fair number of scars varying in size and visibility from scrapes and duels in the past. The only piercings she possesses are those of her earlobes.
CLOTHING/STYLE: Bella does not go for the 'glamorous' look anymore. She used to be meticulous about her appearance and while she is still every bit as vain as she was before Azkaban, she now sees her 'new look' to be something to be proud of as it shows her suffering and self-sacrifice for her master. Her clothing usually consists of long dark gothic style dresses, usually accompanied by a corset of sorts though not always. She wears minimal makeup and doesn't often do all that much with her hair.
ANYTHING ELSE: There seems to be a permanent look of disdain upon her face - unless she happens to be looking at the Dark Lord.

- Her wand, it serves her well
- Dueling to the death
- Picking fights for the sake of it

DISLIKES: - Polyjuice potion - sure she'll use it but it tates foul and she likes being herself not other people. She is proud of who she is and changing into someone else goes against her own vanity

- Losing at anything
- Letting victims survive
- Insults or disrespect directed at herself, her family or the Dark Lord

- Bellatrix is not easily fooled and is often a good judge of character unless she holds bias for some reason or another.
WEAKNESSES: - She can at times, have an exceptionally short attention span.
- She is very impulsive and though she will fight brutally, she often rushes into things without carefully considering them first.

- To rid the world of mudbloods and all other manner of filth.
- To rise above the other Death Eaters.
BOGGART: - Voldemort's death
- Losing 'her touch' - basically no longer being of use to her master
- Being replaced in the Dark Lord's favor by another Death Eater
ERISED: Her greatest desire is for the Dark Lord to reciprocate her feelings.
VERITASERUM: Bella's greatest secret in terms of best kept, would be her private desire to have had children but in terms of most important to her, obvious though it may be is her own affections for the Dark Lord.
PATRONUS: Bella's best memory would have to be when she was given the Dark Mark. The pride, delight and sheer anticipation to fulfill the Dark Lord's wishes is one of the best memories she has. However, Bella has never been able to cast a full patronus, something she doesn't like to speak of as she doesn't understand why and feels ashamed of the fact.
PENSIEVE: Bella's worst memory was hearing the news of her beloved master's first defeat. Enraged and driven to the point of madness in her own denial, she did everything in her power to find out the 'truth' as she refused to believe he was dead. That of course lead her to torture the Longbottoms to insanity but being in the state of mind that she was, was not as cautious about being caught as she might and was thus unable to escape the Aurors.
PERSONALITY OVERVIEW: Bellatrix is very stubborn and headstrong; she is very much of the opinion that she does as she wants, when she wants and how she wants and won't be told otherwise. Once decided on something, it is near impossible to convince her to do otherwise and fighting her on it is futile. The only person able to successfully force her to do as they please is Lord Voldemort. Her sister and a select few others can get her to obey to a certain degree but she is far more reluctant and very difficult to convince unless she is already strongly considering it.
She is very narrow minded and quick to assume. She automatically decides her opinion on people based on their blood purity, their wealth and their relations. It is one reason why Andromeda's betrayal affected her so much. This is very likely to lead her to underestimate enemies and misjudge people, though for the latter, it's more of a case that she doesn't know what she's missing whereas the former could prove fatal one day.
Arrogance is a trait in Bella that is present in the extreme. That and vanity. She is very aware that she is a talented witch and she would never deny that fact. Bella's whole demeanor screams of arrogance; the way she holds herself, her condescending attitude to those she deems 'beneath' her, the way in which she literally looks down her nose at people and how she makes it only too obvious that she thinks very little of a person. Her pride though is perhaps justified in some areas but certainly not to the extent she flaunts it. She isn't above strutting either, though she usually saves that for moments of extreme glee and extraordinary smugness. Of course this causes many to dislike her whether out of jealousy or pure disgust for her own self-importance.
Bellatrix has a very competitive nature about her. She doesn't like competing so much unless she is certain she is going to win - which is more often than not, though only out of arrogance, not genuine level headed deliberation. She finds rivalry and competition in most places she looks - in the Death Eaters who surround her, especially the women, she sees them less as team mates and more as hungry piranhas, desperate for what she has and who will do anything to steal her place. It is this which stop her from being lazy and too complacent, so in many ways this is a strength for her. If another Death Eater is praised or threatens to become too close to the Dark Lord, Bella can become very jealous and feisty over it. She wouldn't think twice about sabotage and intimidation to stop it. This is really due to the fact that deep down, she is very insecure and her immediate instinct to counter this innate fear of failure and losing, is to attack instead. This is really her driving force - other than her obsession with her master.
Bella sees people and possessions as the same thing. Her husband is a possession to her and in her mind, she owns him, much like a cat does. This possessive trait makes sharing impossible for Bella. She has never had to do so in the past and doesn't understand why she should have to share with anyone. It's such a strong feeling to her that it could possibly lead her to question the Dark Lord. If he gives her a task, she prefers to act alone as she wants the credit all for herself and she believes acting alone is more impressive. This has caused her to bite off more than she can chew in the past though fortunately she has managed to deal with that well enough so far.
She detests making plans. Sitting down and talking about strategy and order of procedure rarely attracts her unless it the Dark Lord is the one relaying the plan. Bellatrix would much rather run headfirst into the situation and improvise as she goes along. This is partly due to her arrogance but mostly because she is very impatient, restless and rash. She cannot sit still for very long and struggles to keep composure in such situations. She is doesn't like to stop and think about her actions, preferring simply to act and to hell with the consequences until they occur and if they don't, even better.
Bella likes to enter battles and duels with all guns blazing. She sees it more as sport than anything else and revels in the energy and excitement. She can very easily become wrapped up in the moment and lose herself in it, meaning she can go too far and do things she regrets. Control and restraint is alien to her and coupled with her reluctance to think things out, can lead to catastrophe if she's unlucky. However, if in the right circumstances it can save her from dangerous situations as she forgets her fear and the possible consequences so there is no hesitation.
While she is very capable of being extremely cold toward people, on the other hand, she can be full of passion as long as there is something to inspire it within her. Serving her master is one such thing, perhaps the most effective. Willingness to serve him has no limit with Bella and she would sell her soul if it meant she could hear him admit she was his favorite. So desperate to please him as she is, she relishes every opportunity to prove her worth to him and puts her heart and soul into the task. Unfortunately, her passion for him also burns brightly and she is very inept at hiding it, mostly because a part of her hopes he is simply blind to her attraction to him and hopes he will notice her feelings toward him if she doesn't hide them from her demeanor though this is not an entirely conscious decision on her part.
Quite in contrast to this, Bella lacks empathy for her fellow human beings. She never stops to consider the feelings of others, preferring to simply trample over them and ignore them. She is very selfish in that respect and while it does stop her from feeling guilt over her actions, it doesn't endear herself to people. At least not most people anyhow. She lives in her own little world where as long as she's happy, everyone else is and if they're not, she doesn't want to hear about it.
Responsibility to Bella is a burden. She hates feeling obliged to anything, preferring to do as she pleases. Depending on who gave her the responsibility, she will often shirk it and do as she pleases instead. She doesn't understand why life can't be all her way without any drawbacks and so she strives to make sure things go her way as often as possible. To her, having responsibility is like being shackled down and she will fight desperately to escape that unless it is something she enters willingly. However, responsibility to the Dark Lord is another matter entirely.
Like her father before her, Bella has a violent temper, the worst temper in fact out of all three sisters. The characteristic Black family temper seems to have culminated itself in her; she is extremely volatile and easy to anger. She is exceptionally hot-headed and while some people have tolerance which is slowly worn down before they lose their temper, she does not. Her temper is quickly provoked and it's effects result in extreme violence, aggression, screaming and shouting though to what extent does depend greatly on how angry she is. Once her mood has been spoiled, chances are she won't regain it for the rest of the day unless something happens to cheer her up or distract her from it.
Bella doesn't need provocation to be violent, however. She is quite capable of lashing out for the fun of it. Since joining the Death Eaters, she has discovered an immense enjoyment in torture. She is exceptionally fond of the cruciatus curse and while physical violence and torture are by far her favorites, she does have a soft spot for mental torture by mocking and lying to her victims. When tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange, it is not over until she grows bored and while in some cases that might happen sooner, in most, it goes on for an unbearably long time.
Despite her character flaws, she is extraordinarily loyal and devoted to the Dark Lord. She would never betray him and loathes those that do with a ferocious passion. Bella lives to serve her master and values him above all other beings, her devotion is so strong it could be described as slavish. She would proudly die for him and would much rather die fighting for him than to grow cowardly and run with her tail between her legs. It is this pure suicidal devotion that makes her so certain that she is the Dark Lord's most loyal and worthy servant.
When it comes to being honest, Bellatrix rarely lies as she prefers to be frank (usually in a cruel manner). When she does lie, however, it is with motivation. As an older sister, Bella still sees Narcissa as a little girl that needs protecting. Her reason for wanting to protect her is because she fears that unless she does, she will turn traitor like Andromeda did. This shows that she is capable of being a more warmhearted being though she rarely listens to her sister or considers the fact that she doesn't need to be treated like a child.
If Bellatrix is wronged or crossed, she will always seek revenge unless given a good reason not to, though that doesn't mean she'll be content to restrain herself. She can be very vindictive and spiteful if she feels the need to be and she can hold a grudge for a very long time.

MOTHER: Druella Black (née Rosier)
SIBLINGS: Anromeda Tonks (née Black) [Estranged]
Narcissa Malfoy (née Black)
OTHER FAMILY: Sirius Black - Cousin
Regulus Black - Cousin
Nymphadora Tonks - Niece [Estranged]
Ted Tonks - Brother-in-law [Estranged]
Rodolphus Lestrange - Husband
Rabastan Lestrange - Brother-in-law
SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS: Very wealthy
HISTORY OVERVIEW: Bellatrix was raised to believe that pureblood wizards and witches were far superior to muggle-born and half-blood wizards. Being a member of The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black, she was lead to believe that she was practically wizarding royalty. At Hogwarts she was a Slytherin as was custom for her family and found herself to be very talented in the Dark Arts.
As a young child, she enjoyed causing innocent mischief; playing tricks on her younger sisters, 'accidentally' breaking things and going out of her way to disobey her parents just for the thrill of it. Her sister Andromeda she saw as competition. They were close in age and appearance which made Bellatrix feel she had to be better than her in every way. This lead to her playing various pranks on her sister and doing her best to make her unhappy. Narcissa was young enough not to be a threat to Bella's ego so as the eldest she felt it her duty to take her under her wing although Andromeda seemed to have beaten Bella there, only worsening the one-sided vendetta.
Bella's seven years at Hogwarts were spent socializing with Slytherins, learning the Dark Arts from the pages of restricted books she managed to get her hands on and mercilessly teasing students from the other 'inferior' houses and of inferior blood status. As soon as her middle sister followed her into Hogwarts, she began distancing herself from her. It was quickly becoming apparent that Andromeda was not quite as much of a Slytherin as the rest of her family, Sirius excluded. The same went for Narcissa. She became more detached from them, only talking to them in passing and to make sure they weren't doing anything their parents would disapprove of. She didn't think it was 'cool' to be seen socializing with her little sisters.
Shortly after Hogwarts, she married Rodolphus Lestrange, a wizard from a respectable pureblood family. Bellatrix and Rodolphus had an arranged marriage as all the Black sisters were intended to. Bellatrix knew the boy from school as they were in the same house and the same year but she hadn't ever had a crush on him, in fact, she had never had a crush on anyone before. The thought of taking him as a husband wasn't a big deal to her, she would make an appropriate marriage and please the family.
About four months into their marriage, the unhappily married couple decided to become Death Eaters and join Voldemort's cause. Once initiated into the group, Bellatrix distanced herself from her husband and found in herself a great desire to please her new master. To her, he was the most powerful wizard she had ever met, a man of excellent values and morals and he commanded the whole group with such skill and mastery that it took her breath away. Bellatrix found herself longing to be praised and favored by him, striving to stand out from the others and prove that being a woman didn't make her weaker than the other Death Eaters.
Bellatrix's ruthless power and brutality did catch the eye of the Dark Lord, he saw her eagerness and loyalty to be invaluable qualities and made the decision that he would give her one to one tutoring in Dark Arts, Legilimency and Occlumency. Bellatrix was greatly honored to be taught by one who she revered and respected so much but these one on one sessions sparked a weakness for Bella, she developed feelings for the Dark Lord. She didn't notice it at first but when she did, she had trouble accepting it fully because love was alien to her and had always been something she mocked. Now she was experiencing it herself. While doing the Dark Lord's bidding, she was experiencing an inner battle with herself over her unwanted attraction to her master. Finally she broke and gave in to the emotion but it quickly worsened into something of an obsession.
During this time her relationship with Rodolphus began to deteriorate into begrudging tolerance. He seemed ignorant of her obsession with the Dark Lord and gradually began to expect her to be less and less of the idealistic wife he had imagined.
After torturing the Longbottoms' to insanity and Voldemort's fall, she, along with her husband and his brother were arrested and sentenced to life in Azkaban. After fourteen years of incarceration she finally escaped the wizard prison to seek out her master. Hell-bent on revenge for her master and her incarceration and determined to carry out the Dark Lord's bidding.

YOUREXPERIENCE: 6 years ish
YOUROTHERCHARS: N/A
SECRET PHRASE: Fight it out
YOURSAMPLE: This is a journal extract from another site I was on where I played Bellatrix - that being why it's in first person.
"Today I watched a man die. I watched that light fade from his dim orbs and his last breath escape his lungs. It was exhilerating. You might think a lifetime of murder, torture and merciless destruction might get old after a while but it doesn't. Every life that I watch flicker out in front of me, because of me, brings me a rush of adrenaline. I adore it. They say once you taste blood you can't get enough of it. Or something to that effect. Well it's true. I was in my late teens when I took the Dark Mark and took my first life soon after. It's one of the best feelings you can ever experience; having that power and control over a person, deciding whether they will live to see the next issue of the Daily Prophet. It is like an addiction with no cure but I am all too happy to succumb to it.
Everytime I torture someone, it is that sweet sweet look of desperation, begging, pleading that thrills me into sending another wave of curses at them; they think that they look pitiful enough to evoke some sort of empathy from me? HA! I laugh in their faces, the filthy scum! It is the brave ones who die slowest, the rude ones who die fastest and the useless ones who rest somewhere in the middle as they are somewhat tedious after a while. Of course, it also depends on my current mood. If I'm feeling generous then I might just end it ever so slightly sooner but chances are I'm pretty angry which means you'll suffer until I'm satisfied and my spirits are sufficiently lifted. I live for that rush of ecstasy when I watch them twist, squirm and scream from the effects of my magic. I breath in their fear and it excites me, their sweat... not so much but it's ever so slightly encouraging.
That glorious scent of death that radiates from their mangled corpse is like the scent of triumph to me; it congratulates me, rewards me enough to satiate the desire for my master's praise. Yes, my master gives his praise only to those who have earned it and so I strive for it. I demand it, I live to achieve it. It is my sole purpose. Every look is an encouragement, every word uttered in my direction is a deadly incentive and every word of ounce of approval is like beautiful melody to my ears. Those long years in Azkaban deprived me of this vital sustenance for I know that had I been free I could have found him sooner, I could have given my much worthier blood, my attentions and he would see how devoted, faithful and loyal I am. How I stand above all others in my servitude to him. I have only failed him on one occasion and I refuse to allow a repeat of that to occur. No human, animal or creature will stand in my way for I shall have what I want no matter what or who I have to blast into oblivion to achieve it. I will win his most highest esteem and together we shall rule the new wizarding world; purge it of muggles, mudbloods and create the perfect world where there are only pureblooded wizards and witches."
